In this position, you would assist in the planning, analysis, design, and detailing of bridge and other transportation related structural projects from railroad to highway.\nLearn more about our Structures practice at VHB: Bridges & Structures | VHB\nResponsibilities\nAssist in engineering design and detailing of highway, pedestrian and railroad bridges and other structures\nCollaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner\nAssist in development of planning and engineering solutions\nAssist in data mining and visualization\nPerform analysis of data or calculations\nPerform field data collection and other on-site project support activities\nPrepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports\nSkills and Abilities\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\nTeam oriented with strong capability to work independently\nSelf-motivated with attention to detail\nA strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve\nKnowledge of drawing and mapping tools such as AutoCAD and GIS\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required\nQualifications\nMust be currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s civil engineering program\nThe hourly pay range for this position, located in New York, is $19 to $30. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted hourly range reflects base pay only.
