This role is suited for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordination, technical writing, client support, and project delivery. This position will work closely with project managers and technical staff to help plan and deliver traffic safety initiatives, coordinate project activities, and produce high-quality written materials and presentations.\nThis position is open to remote workers outside the Raleigh area, from anywhere on the East Coast of the US, with work hours aligned to the EST time zone.\nPlease note applicants must be legally authorized to work for VHB in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport transportation safety and traffic records projects. \nCoordinate meetings, agendas, materials, and follow-up actions. \nPrepare and edit technical materials, including summaries, memoranda, reports, and presentations. \nSupport client relationships through responsive, professional communication. \nTrack project tasks, timelines, and action items across multiple efforts. \nSupport conference facilitation and coordination both virtual and in-person.\nAssist with business development activities such as proposals, qualifications, and presentation materials. \nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree \n1-3+ years of experience in consulting, public agency, transportation, safety, or a related field preferred. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. \nStrong meeting coordination, technical writing, presentation, organization, and communication skills. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively, and adapt in a project-based environment.\nPlease note applicants must be legally authorized to work for VHB in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with traffic records, crash data, or transportation safety programs. \nFamiliarity with SHSOs, NHTSA programs, or related transportation safety initiatives. \nExperience in a consulting or professional services environment. \nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Raleigh, NC, is $68,000 to $88,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nWe may consider candidates who will work remotely, from another VHB office location, or on a reduced-hours schedule.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
