With hundreds of agency partners around the world, Via is recognized as the leading transportation technology and service provider globally.\nAs a Road Supervisor for Citilink Access operated by Via, you will train operators, oversee the performance of operators, respond to emergencies, and manage the delivery of paratransit service in the Fort Wayne area.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nConduct on-the-road supervision, including regular ride-alongs and shadowing, to ensure driver performance meets service and safety standards.\nMonitor and assess operator interactions and adherence to safety procedures, offering constructive feedback as necessary.\nDevelop and deliver training programs for new drivers, including initial, remedial, and refresher content.\nProvide hands-on training in best practices, safety protocols, and service standards to align with Via and Citilink’s expectations\nConduct proper post-accident and post-incident procedures including acting as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) for DOT purposes.\nAct as the primary point of contact for immediate operational issues, implementing solutions to resolve challenges promptly.\nOperate accessible vehicles safely and courteously to transport elderly and disabled passengers, modeling high customer service standards.\nService trips as necessary, especially in the case of stranded riders, breakdowns, or other service disruptions. \nWho You Are:\nPossess sound knowledge of the city and an excellent driving record.\nPossess previous supervisory or management experience.\nAble and excited to train paratransit operators.\nAvailable to be scheduled as per the evolving needs of the role during all service hours and days.\nAble to operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle within standard safety guidelines to ensure public safety\nMust be able to safely push and maneuver more than 400 pounds of weight, such as in assisting passengers in wheelchairs or handling heavy equipment\nMust be comfortable bending down on one knee for extended periods of time to secure wheelchairs and other mobility aids\nPatient, empathetic, and sensitive to the needs of people with disabilities\nAble to deal effectively and courteously with all customers and the public\nHold a valid driver’s license.\nPass a drug screening, motor vehicle check, physical exam, and criminal background check.\nAt least 25 years old.\nAble to apply in person at Via’s offices in the Fort Wayne area\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills determine the final salary.\nSalary: Starting at $25.25 / hour\nWe are proud to offer a generous and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401K matching, holiday pay, and PTO.\nAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.\nThere has never been a more exciting time to be on the cutting edge of public mobility.
