Investigate to determine reliability and ability as a supplier.\n• Maintain document filing system. \n• Participate in department improvement initiatives.\n• Demonstrates the Dimensions of Competition and Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.\n• Keep informed of developments in the procurement profession, as well as developments in the economy or industry that are relative to the success of the division. \n• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards. \n• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.\n• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.\n• Develop, investigate, select, and maintain suppliers. \n• Monitor supplier performance. \n• Manage supplier agreements and methods. \n• Assist with negotiation of major purchasing contracts.\n• Maintain specific knowledge on commodities, and complex supplier relationships. \n• Collaborate with other departments or divisions on purchasing matters and technical data.\n• Conduct negotiations with vendors on rejections, dispositions, or adjustments of purchased materials. \n• Manage standard price list for commodity quotes. \n• Work with suppliers on unique requirements such as special documentation or certification. \n\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nBasic knowledge of purchasing processes and terminology. Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities. Comfortable working with vendors and internal stakeholders.\n\nFlexible and adaptable in a team-oriented environment.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:\nPhysical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach.
