Ensure production has the necessary materials and supplies to manufacture products and complete production schedules in a timely and efficient manner.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nPerform cycle and inventory counts of raw materials and inventory locations as required. \nFollow department processes to assure inventory accuracy. \nVerify established criteria, and supply materials to production work centers. \nTransport materials or finished products between work centers, or to appropriate storage locations. \nComplete necessary paperwork per process. \nDepending on division, may operate forklift or company pickup truck. \nParticipate in production improvement initiatives. \nDemonstrates the Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions. \nMaintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards. \nMay be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed. \nLearning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards. \nContributes to the team and tasks in an above average manner. \nLead or participate in department improvement activities. \nContinuously pursue areas of opportunity and efficiency. \nUnload, inspect, and store large, boxed materials. \nResponsible for mass quantities of raw materials. \nDepending on division, operate railcar material handling equipment and pull samples of incoming materials. \nWork with other departments to coordinate storage and staging. \nTarget raw materials to optimize use of partial goods.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: \nHigh school diploma or equivalent education. 3+ years production experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License and pass the DOT exam every 2 years.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nDepending on division, have ability to operate a forklift, pallet mover, and hoist equipment. Ability to maintain accurate records. High level of responsibility to handle mass quantity and high value raw materials. Good organizational skills. Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques. Proficiency with a computer. Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:\nPhysical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach.
