Coordinate operation of the line with team. Assist with process improvement and training.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nOperate machines during production and other runs. \nPerform machine setups and changeovers. \nVerify machine is set up to meet requirements to assure quality products. Assure compliance with production schedule. \nMaintain knowledge of production processes and related systems. \nWork with production team to troubleshoot problems with machine and product. \nDepending on division, ensures raw materials meet quality standards. \nProvide input on new product development activities. \nRecommend product or process improvement strategies. \nMonitor production data such as scrap levels, machine down time, and defects. \nProvide basic training for team members. \nMay assist training staff in developing training programs. \nDepending on division, may service and operate test equipment. \nParticipate in production improvement initiatives. \nMonitor variance and yields and take necessary action to correct or resolve discrepancies. \nDemonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions. \nMaintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards. \nMay be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed. \nLearning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: \nAssociate degree, or military training, in related technical field. Minimum 2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nFully meets the competencies of a Machine Operator, per division standards. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to direct the work efforts of other team members. Aptitude to learn electrical and/or mechanical skills. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently. Basic math skills. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff. Ability to operate forklift, pallet mover, or hoist equipment. Forklift certification may be required.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:\nPhysical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach.
