Ensure materials are handled per processes in an efficient manner.\n\nSCHEDULE:\nDay Shift Monday through Friday 6AM-4:30PM with every other Saturday\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nLoad and unload freight. \nReceive and inspect incoming materials or products. \nTransport materials or finished products to appropriate locations. \nUse computers to transfer inventories and/or complete necessary paperwork per processes. \nCreate, maintain, and follow processes and instructions for receiving, inventory, and shipping. \nPerform cycle and inventory counts of raw materials and inventory locations as required. \nTrains new team members. \nDepending on division, may operate forklift or pallet jack. \nPick and package orders as needed (includes prep work, wrapping, labeling, etc.). \nMay run pick lists or other related documentation. \nSchedule or quote shipments, or work with logistics team members to do so. \nMay order supplies or notify appropriate personnel. \nParticipate in production improvement initiatives. \nDemonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions. \nMaintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards. \nMay be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed. \nLearning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: \nHigh school diploma or equivalent education. Previous shipping/receiving experience is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nDepending on division, have ability to operate a forklift, pallet mover, and hoist equipment. Working knowledge of ground and air carriers, LTL, and international shipment procedures. Ability to maintain accurate records. Good organizational skills. Ability to multi-task. Proficiency with a computer. Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff. \n\nPhysical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, and walk for up to 12 hours. Required to bend, and reach. Required to lift/carry up to 55lbs. Required to push/pull up to 100lbs. Required to climb/use stairs in. Required to operate a Forklift.
