Learn more at viamo.io.\nAbout the role\nThe Platform Intern will help ensure that Viamo’s mobile platform provides users in Nigeria with timely, relevant, and high-quality content in Hausa and Yoruba. The role combines daily quality control of dynamic content and platform functionality with AI-assisted content creation and the review of potential podcasts. The intern will regularly call and test the platform, identify issues such as outdated news or podcast playback glitches, and document and escalate problems so they can be resolved promptly.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct daily quality-control checks by calling and testing Viamo’s platform for approximately two hours per day.\nCheck dynamic content, including news, sports, weather, and podcasts, to confirm that content is current, accessible, and functioning as expected.\nIdentify and document issues such as outdated news, missing or incorrect content, audio problems, and glitches with the podcast feature.\nEscalate platform and content issues to the relevant team, providing clear details to support investigation and resolution.\nCreate or support the creation of daily AI-assisted dynamic content, including news and sports updates, in Hausa and Yoruba.\nReview AI-generated content for accuracy, clarity, relevance, language quality, and suitability before it is published or shared for publication.\nReview potential Hausa- and Yoruba-language podcasts to assess whether they are appropriate for Viamo’s platform and audience.\nMaintain a simple record of quality checks, content reviewed, issues identified, and actions taken.\nCollaborate with relevant colleagues to improve the reliability, relevance, and user experience of Viamo’s platform.\nKey Performance Indicators\nImpact: number of Monthly Active Users and Monthly User Benefits\nBookings: Value of secured partnerships\nRevenue: Execution & invoicing of program deliverable\nTeam and Reporting Structure\nReports to the Regional Platform Manager\nProfile\nRequired\nFluency in Yoruba, Hausa and English with strong understanding of written and spoken language in the relevant languages.\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to identify outdated information, language issues, and technical problems.\nComfort using mobile phones and digital platforms, including generating and listening to audio content and following structured testing steps.\nGood written communication skills in English to document findings and report issues clearly.\nAbility to work independently, manage daily tasks reliably, and follow through on issues identified.\nInterest in digital content, AI-assisted content creation, audio products, or mobile technology.\nKey Performance Indicator\nCompletion and consistency of daily platform quality-control checks.\nTimely identification, documentation, and escalation of platform or content issues.\nQuality, relevance, and timeliness of Hausa and Yoruba dynamic content created or reviewed.\nCompletion of podcast reviews and clear documentation of suitability assessments.\nAccuracy and completeness of quality-control and content-review record\nDesirable\nExperience creating, editing, translating, or reviewing content in Yoruba and Hausa.\nExperience with podcasts, radio, audio content, news, sports, or other digital media.\nFamiliarity with AI-generated content and the importance of checking outputs for accuracy and appropriateness.\nExperience with basic quality assurance, user testing, or issue tracking.\nViamo is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
