You’ll work closely with product, analytics, and commercial teams to design and deliver data pipelines that power insights and decision-making across the company. Our stack is hosted in AWS and supports both batch and real-time data processing. You’ll work with Spark, Databricks, and related tooling to develop scalable solutions and contribute to a modern data-driven culture at Viaplay.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nDesign, build, and maintain robust batch and streaming data pipelines\n\nEnsure quality, performance, and reliability of data products\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and analytics needs\n\nApply engineering best practices: clean code, testing, observability, peer reviews\n\nContribute to continuous improvement of our data platform and tooling\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nWe understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least 3+ years of experience in data engineering. You thrive in a collaborative environment, are comfortable working with stakeholders and enjoy solving complex challenges.\nKey Skills\nExperience with data processing tooling. Preferably Databricks\n\nGood hands on experience with SQL and Python. Spark is a plus\n\nGood understanding of data modelling, such as medallion/layered architectures and dimensional modelling\n\nFamiliarity with data modeling, version control, and orchestration tools\n\nIt’s a bonus if you have:\nInfrastructure as code and CI/CD exposure\n\nHands-on experience with streaming frameworks (e.g. Flink, Lambda)\n\nGood understanding of cloud services and infrastructure (AWS, GCP or Azure)\n\nExperience with data quality frameworks, or data observability tooling\n\nInterest in developer experience and scalable platforms\n\nContributions to open-source or internal engineering communities\n\nWhat we offer you \nWe’ve got you covered! 30 days of paid vacation every year, an attractive pension and insurance scheme, and generous parental leave pay lift. \n\nYour wellbeing matters.
