Intern compensation is non-negotiable.\n\nThe day-to-day\nFamiliarize yourself with network monitoring tools/NMS, service alarms, and dashboards under supervision to ensure smooth and efficient network operation monitoring\nAssist NOC Controllers in:\nIncident/change management handling process\nCall out management\nTicker tape/service notification\nFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for:\nIncident handling / Change request mechanism\nEscalation processes\nNetwork Operational reporting and closure\nAssist NOC Controller to perform basic health checks and monitoring validation\nDocument incidents, actions taken, and lessons learned\nParticipate in shift handover updates and daily operational briefings\nWhat you'll need\nEducation: Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Telecommunications, IT, Electronics or a related field\nCitizenship: This position requires a Valid Work Permit or Visa for the country you would be located and working from \nBasic understanding of:Network monitoring concepts and system operations\nTroubleshooting methodologies\n\nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving capability\nAbility to communicate effectively in English (written & verbal)\nGood interpersonal and teamwork skills\nWillingness to learn in a structured NOC environment\nDiscipline in following processes and procedures\nStrong sense of accountability and ownership\nWhat will help you on the job\nFamiliarity with:\nITIL best practices\nOperating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows, Script, etc)\nScripting skills\nExposure to:\nNetwork monitoring tools\nTelecom or satellite operations or language/web programming\nCertification or academic exposure:\nEnglish certification\nAbility to:\nWork under pressure during incidents\nPrioritize tasks in a live operational environment\nAdapt to shift-based or structured working routines\nAt Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
