This experience will require a combination of skills from manufacturing processes, data analytics, and project management.\nThe day-to-day\nReview Viasat and Supplier product yield and field reliability data for trends. \nAudit sites to review effectiveness or corrective actions and identify areas for improvement utilizing Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) framework \nDevelop scripting with Python to investigate trends associated with prodcution data, customer returns, and repairs.\nProvide analysis and recommendations to the business team, using data to tell compelling stories and influence action.\nDrive root cause investigations and process improvement efforts, utilizing tools such as Pareto Analysis, Histograms, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Cpk.\nEngage with teams to build relationships, focusing on solving problems to enhance quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.\nWhat you'll need\n1+ years' as a Quality Engineer with experience in aerospace, and/or defense environment, including Design, Manufacturing, and implementation of Quality Management Systems\nStrong analytical experience using Python, communication, and interaction skills\nExperience working with and managing a contract manufacturer\nExperience in interpreting contract quality requirements covering quality requirements and quality planning\nUnderstanding of box-build, SMT, fabrication commodities\nPractical experience collaborating within a cross-functional group dedicated to supplier quality and product quality assurance for diverse products \nPrior experience in using Quality Tools: 8D, 5-Why, DFMEA/PFMEA\nHands-on experience working in a multi-functional team covering supplier quality, product quality assurance across a wide range of products\nStrong analytical skills. Excellent written communication skills and ability to communicate across all level and functions\nWhat will help you on the job\nSelf starter with experience navigating ambiguity \nStrong Interpersonal skills\nASQ CQE certification\nLean and/or Six Sigma Certification\nUnderstanding of IPC 610 & 620 requirements\nSalary range\n$64,500.00 - $101,500.00 / annually.\nFor specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $79,500.00- $119,500.00/ annually\nAt Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
