These engineering activities support International Government engineering consultancy opportunities as well as commercial proposals, bids or tender responses in support of the sales teams within International Government.\nThe Solutions Architect role requires you to be self-sufficient and self-motivated engineering professional with extensive satellite solutions design experience who is expected to oversee all requirements and dependencies of tasks allocated to them.\nAs a Solutions Architect you will be required to develop solutions to meet specific International Government customer requirements utilising either existing or newly developed hardware, product configurations and / or services, and must collaborate with functional teams outside of International Government as needed to bring new hardware and services into operation. You will also be required to develop written engineering content for inclusion into commercial RFI and RFT responses, commercial proposals or quotations.\nSolutions Architects must also be prepared to provide technical guidance, instruction and mentoring of less experience engineering staff within the International Government engineering team.\nThe day-to-day\nThe day-to-day\nProvision of timely and insightful technical input into the preparation of tender responses\nLead the development of end-to-end technical solutions for bid responses and offers \nProvision of satellite solutions designs and satellite systems integration expertise to clients in support of International Government sales teams \nProvide engineering level technical support to the ongoing operations of the International Government Operations team\nDesign, build and delivery of bespoke solutions, using a variety of Viasat capability, including Viasat Satellite and ground capability\nManage the technical aspects of project delivery into sustainment\nCreation detailed technical documentation in support of systems design and ongoing opoerations\nSpecification, documentation and implementation of hardware solutions for IP networking over satellite\nProvision of senior engineering level support and technical mentoring to International Government engineers\nProvision of training and technical presentations\nWhat you'll need\nMust hold a relevant engineering degree, with a demonstrated ability in the satellite communications industry.\nMust have demonstrable experience in developing solutions in a pre-sales environment (bids/RFT’s/ RFQ’s) under Asdefcon frameworks\nApplicant must be eligible to obtain NV1 clearance\nWhat will help you on the job\nExperience in IT, particularly as it applies to satellite communications and networking.\nKnowledge of Microsoft and Linux based operating system installation and configuration.\nProficient in the development of maintenance documentation and support programmes for developed solutions based on OEM component documentation.\nExperience of ILS systems particularly as they relate to ASDEFCON.\nSelf-starter and innovative individuals are required.
