We are guided by our mission of delivering exceptional supplier performance and minimizing risk. We span multiple sites in North America, Europe, and Asia, managing approximately $1B in spend for Viasat, and buy everything from common COTS electronic components to integrated satellite subsystems, and from paper to streaming sporting events. And we like to have fun, too!\nThe day-to-day\nExecute sourcing and procurement activities, including RFQs, negotiations, and purchase order management\nCollaborate with engineering, program management, planning, manufacturing and finance teams to support program deliverables\nDevelop and implement commodity and supplier strategies, aligned to business objectives\nMonitor and manage supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery metrics\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp activities\nConduct market analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and alternative sourcing strategies\nEnsure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and contractual requirements\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain processes\nWhat you'll need\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.\nExperience managing suppliers in a low-volume, high-mix environment.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems\nU.S. Citizenship required (government contract support)\nAbility to travel up to 10 percent\n#LI-SA1\nWhat will help you on the job\nExperience supporting NPI through production (LRIP to full-rate manufacturing)\nBackground in aerospace, defense, or highly engineered products\nFamiliarity with FARS/DFARS regulations\nExperience with RMAs, supplier quality, and outsourcing/turnkey programs\nKnowledge of PLM systems and component-level sourcing\nSalary range\n$79,000.00 - $124,000.00 / annually.\nFor specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $97,500.00- $146,500.00/ annually\nAt Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
