You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while developing and maintaining custom test systems that support critical programs.\nKey responsibilities include:\nPerforming RF testing and troubleshooting down to the circuit level.\nConducting high-level RF measurements, including gain, P1dB, noise figure, phase noise, adjacent channel rejection, isolation, and other performance metrics.\nDeveloping test methods, procedures, and documentation to ensure accurate and repeatable results.\nCollaborating closely with Design Engineers, Test Engineers, and Manufacturing teams to investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.\nApplying sound technical judgment and attention to detail to support complex programs across a variety of applications.\nThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to make a direct impact on the development and production of sophisticated RF products.\nThe day-to-day\nPerform Tests on Viasat RF Products.\nDocumenting and Troubleshooting Test Failures.\nWorking with Engineers to help solve problems related to testing Viasat products.\nBuilding new Test Set Ups and calibrating test station for RF performance.\nData collection and data analysis.\nWhat you'll need\n6+ years relevant work experience\nExperience testing and troubleshooting electronic products in resourceful and effective methods\nRead schematics and understand electronic circuits\nBasic computer skills including good skills with Microsoft Office\nStrong communication and team skills\nAssociates of Science Degree in Electronics Technology or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience\nAbility to work autonomously\nMicrosoft Office Skills.\nUS Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance are required.\nWhat will help you on the job\nExperience with RF test, measurement, and calibration techniques\nExperience working in a development engineering environment (high levels of ambiguity)\nExperience testing and troubleshooting RF amplifiers, LNAs, and Up/Down Converters\nExperience with test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, noise figure meters, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and thermal chambers/plates\nSalary range\n$32.21 - $50.96 / hourly.\nFor specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $40.14 - $60.34/ hourly\nAt Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
