With a mission to empower people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life, we provide access at scale, currently supplying high-quality medicines to approximately 1 billion patients around the world annually and touching all of life's moments, from birth to the end of life, acute conditions to chronic diseases.\nWe have been included on number of award lists that demonstrate the impact we are making.\nEvery day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Packaging Technician B role will make an impact:\nKey responsibilities for this role include:\nSet/up changeover packaging equipment/line centers as required.\nMaintain equipment during production runs to achieve desired production rates/planning values/quality standards.\nMaintain change parts in good mechanical condition.\nIdentify and order/repair replacement parts for Packaging equipment.\nDisassemble/clean/sanitize product filling equipment.\nMaintain records/logbooks/ etc. as required by MSOP and/or management.\nPerform line tests to determine compatibility of equipment/products/packages, support new product/package changes with change parts identification/design and implementation under limited direction.\nTo provide basic electrical/electronic trouble shooting and associated repairs.\nPerform all equipment technician trainee and \"C\", duties and responsibilities.\nWithin area of responsibility, understand and comply with all safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state and local regulations.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nThe minimum qualifications for this role are:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.\nSome technical, vocational, or high school programs are preferred.\nMinimum 4 - 6 years related experience and/or training in a general maintenance environment is required.\nMust have good mechanical and basic electrical understanding.\nKnowledge and experience in lean manufacturing/operational excellence, standardization, is preferred.\nExperience leading and/or supporting Kaizen events, VSM and problem-solving initiatives.\nAt Viatris, we offer competitive salaries, benefits and an inclusive environment where you can use your experiences, perspectives and skills to help make an impact on the lives of others.\nViatris is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
