This is a place to make a difference in the world\nThe Role & What You Will Be Doing\nThis role is for a Statutory Accounting & Controlling Manager to join the Statutory Accounting and Controlling team.\nThe Statutory & Controlling team is established to manage the Statutory and Compliance Accounting of various legal entities. The team owns all monthly and annual reporting to Corporate as well as all local Statutory Accounting and Reporting. Included also are the Direct Taxation obligations of the entities as well as all financial related administration and business support.\nEvery day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Statutory Accounting & Controlling Manager role will make an impact:\nTo lead the team of assistant managers with the statutory accounting and controlling activities\nProvide support to the teams during the close process on accounting technical areas\nTo manage the close for various legal entities under US GAAP for reporting to Corporate at each month end\nTo organize and hold month-end closing calls to ensure the timely closing\nTo resolve any issues which arise during the close, review the accounts in their entirety for accuracy prior to Group Reporting\nTo provide support to the transaction GL team as required during the close on accounting technical areas (royalties, TPAs, intangibles etc). To also ensure the entire close (AR, AP etc) are completed in line with the reporting timetable\nTo prepare and approve any balance sheet reconciliations under scope for the statutory and controlling team\nTo prepare, review and present to local Finance teams BS review files for various legal entities under US GAAP\nTo calculate, prepare review and approve various journal entries (payroll, tax, royalty, other accruals)\nTo calculate, post, review and approve corporate income tax accrual\nTo prepare and review statutory accounts under local GAAP along with all workings and notes to the accounts\nTo prepare and review set of Financial Statements for entities within their scope\nTo manage interim and year-end statutory audits from planning to completion\nTo be the primary point of contact for external auditors and to ensure the audit for the entities is progressing with the GL, AR, AP and Indirect tax teams in the transactional GIS centres\nWork with internal auditors to ensure the entities are always in compliance with statutory regulations, SOX and relevant internal policies. Key point of contact for internal audits\nTo produce and review company secretarial submissions where required\nTo prepare and review all workings required for the Tax filings\nTo manage tax audits for the entities within their scope\nTo calculate tax package on a quarterly basis\nParticipate in the process and systems standardization and automation initiatives\nParticipate the business integration and integrated ERP implementation projects\nManage 1 or 2 assistant managers (people management, goal setting, evaluation etc.)\nTo manage stakeholder's queries and concerns\nAbout Your Skills & Experience\nFor this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:\n Educated to a degree level and with a Professional Accountancy qualification.\nFluency in English\nMinimum 8-10 years post qualification experience\n2+ years of management experience\nExperience as an auditor or in full-scope accounting is required\nKnowledge of local GAAP and US GAAP is required\nPast experience in taking part of projects\nConfidence and ability to work on own initiative\nStrong IT skill set, with ability to analyse large data files and use SAP and Hyperion systems\nAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines managing multiple priorities\nA “can do” attitude is essential. Ability to adapt to change and to make changes to drive efficiencies in processes is very important\nStrong communication skills\nTenacity and determination to ensure goals are achieved\nAdvantages:\nPreferably Big 4 trained in Audit Department\nKnowledge of a third European language would be an advantage\nPrior people management experience is an advantage.
