The Final Quality Inspector evaluates finished bodies at the End of Line of a production line in a high-speed environment. Technicians determine the disposition of active production parts to ensure VIAVI Solutions standards are being met. Technicians must be prepared to escalate concerns to the appropriate party and always promote a culture of quality. The purpose of the Quality Technician is to minimize the number of defective parts that are sent to downstream departments and assist multiple teams in maintaining product throughput.\nJob Responsibilities:\nInterpret database results and sort based on pass/fail status.\nPerform analysis of product results with basic excel functions\nPerform physical defect inspection of all units.\nReview customer facing datasheets for unit performance standards.\nMoving product to the correct location and tracking S#’sdata analysis tasks for calculating metrics\nfuture projections of production test capacity.\nengineering tasks delegated to FQA area.\n\nGuide production teams to properly disposition parts as good for use, needs repair, or scrap.\nDocument and communicate any identified defects\nEscalate concerns that are not being properly resolved in your immediate work area.\nComprehend current production quality standards and determine if ongoing production meets those standards.\nCommunicate emerging and trending quality issues to prevent negative impact to the factory.\nConstruct and maintain strong relationships with members of all nearby teams.\nAide in test responsibilities (loading testers, monitoring testers, performing product testing, etc)\nOther duties as assigned.Copy from Final Quality Inspector position\nPre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:\nQualifications:\nAdditional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree\nRequired Work Experience: 2+ years’ experience in a production or manufacturing quality assurance environment.\nPreferred Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Excel, Python, Database structure an analytics experience is s a plus\n Additional Requirements:Excellent organizational and planning skills, process-oriented with strong analytical skills.\nAble to research, problem solve and formulate conclusions and recommendations.\nProficiency with various computer applications is a definite asset.\nAbility to communicate well with others and know when to log concerns.\nExperience in a fast-paced work environment requiring critical analysis is a plus.\nOrganized, proactive and manufacturing mindset.\nWork in a team-based environment and achieve common goals.\n\nIf you have what it takes to push boundaries and seize opportunities, apply to join our team today.\nVIAVI Solutions is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer -
