VIAVI employees are passionate about supporting customer success and we welcome people who bring their best every day to the company - to question, to collaborate and to push for solutions that will delight our customers.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nThe Material Coordinator at Viavi Solutions Inc. is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of materials within the supply chain, supporting manufacturing operations, and maintaining inventory integrity.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPerforms the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. \nChecks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. \nPackages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. \nLifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. \nPrepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. \nReviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines. \nManage and coordinate the movement of materials, including receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping.\nPerform accurate inventory control tasks, including cycle counts, stock checks, and discrepancy resolution. \nUtilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for material transactions, data entry, and report generation. \nCollaborate with production, purchasing, and quality departments to ensure material availability and resolve material-related issues.\nPrepare and process shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and international shipping forms. \nOperate material handling equipment such safely and efficiently (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse and material storage areas.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to optimize material flow and reduce waste.\nAdhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
