This role is responsible for driving the design, implementation and continuous improvement of security technologies and technical controls across the enterprise, including cloud, identity, endpoint, network, data security, AI and emerging technologies.\nThis is a player-coach role with a strong hands-on expectation. The successful candidate will lead and develop security engineering capabilities while remaining directly engaged in architecture, engineering, technology evaluation, solution design, implementation and technical problem solving.\nThe Manager will partner closely with Cyber Defense, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Product Security, IT and Engineering teams to translate security and risk requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nSecurity Engineering & Architecture\nLead the architecture, engineering, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise security technologies and controls.\nProvide hands-on technical leadership across security architecture, solution design, implementation, integration and troubleshooting.\nEstablish security engineering principles, standards, reference architectures and repeatable design patterns.\nEvaluate existing security technologies for effectiveness, scalability, integration and opportunities for optimization or consolidation.\nProvide security architecture guidance for cloud, SaaS, identity, endpoint, network, data and enterprise technology initiatives.\nIdentify technical security gaps and develop pragmatic solutions that balance security, business requirements and operational impact.\nDevelop and maintain the security engineering technology roadmap.\nEvaluate new security technologies and emerging capabilities based on risk reduction, effectiveness and business value.\nDrive automation and integration across security and enterprise technology platforms.\nAI & Emerging Technology Security\nProvide technical security leadership for AI, GenAI, LLMs, autonomous agents and other emerging technologies.\nDefine security architecture patterns and technical guardrails for AI applications, platforms and integrations.\nLead or contribute to AI threat modeling, including risks involving prompt injection, data leakage, model and application abuse, excessive agency, privilege escalation and third-party integrations.\nPartner with IT, Product and Engineering teams to incorporate security into AI solution architecture and development practices.\nDevelop security review and validation practices for higher-risk AI implementations.\nTranslate AI governance and risk requirements into practical technical controls.\nAssess emerging AI security technologies and integrate appropriate capabilities into the broader security architecture.\nData & Technology Security\nDevelop technical approaches for protecting sensitive information across enterprise and AI environments.\nEstablish appropriate access-control patterns based on least privilege for systems, applications, AI services, APIs and data.\nPartner on the implementation and optimization of data protection capabilities, including DLP and applicable SaaS/web security controls.\nDevelop technical controls to reduce inappropriate exposure of sensitive information through AI services and integrations.\nPartner with GRC, Privacy and data owners to translate data-protection requirements into effective technical solutions.\nSecurity Partnership & Technical Risk\nPartner with Cyber Defense to improve security visibility, detection and response capabilities.\nPartner with GRC to translate risk, compliance and policy requirements into sustainable technical controls.\nPartner with Product Security on security architecture and engineering matters where enterprise and product environments intersect.\nPartner with IT and Engineering to embed security within technology architecture and implementation.\nPerform and lead security architecture reviews and support technical security risk assessments.\nProvide technical recommendations for security exceptions, risk remediation and control improvements.\nLeadership\nOperate as a player-coach, balancing leadership responsibilities with direct technical contribution.\nBuild, mentor and develop security engineering capabilities and technical talent.\nEstablish priorities and promote engineering discipline, documentation, repeatability and accountability.\nCommunicate complex technical risks and recommendations effectively to technical and business stakeholders.\nPre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including significant hands-on experience in security engineering, architecture or related technical security disciplines.\nDeep hands-on expertise in multiple security domains and demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership across broader enterprise security technologies.\nExperience designing and implementing security controls within complex enterprise environments.\nStrong security architecture, technical risk assessment and solution-design capabilities.\nExperience leading significant technical initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.\nAbility to translate security risks and business requirements into practical technical solutions.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrated technical leadership, mentoring and collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with AI/ML, GenAI, LLM or emerging technology security.\nExperience with cloud and SaaS security architectures.\nExperience with data security technologies, including DLP, CASB, SWG or SSE capabilities.\nExperience with identity, endpoint, network or application security technologies.\nExperience with threat modeling, secure development practices or security automation.\nRelevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or comparable technical certifications.\nPrevious people-management or technical team leadership experience.\nIf you have what it
