In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and verification of complex digital integrated circuits for our cutting-edge network test and measurement products. Viavi Solutions develops test solutions that enable to development and deployment of the latest network and AI infrastructure technologies.\nThis position is for our Germantown, MD, site.\nJob Responsibilities\nWork on the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance digital blocks and subsystems using Verilog/SystemVerilog.\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software, analog, and FPGA engineers to define specifications, resolve integration challenges, and ensure successful product delivery.\nParticipate in all phases of the FPGA development lifecycle, from concept and specification to prototype bring-up and characterization.\nPerform synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), and power analysis to meet design constraints and optimize performance.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies, tools, and best practices.\nMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the digital design team.\nPre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:\nJob Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n3+ years of hands-on experience in digital FPGA design and verification.\nProficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design.\nExperience with industry-standard EDA tools for synthesis and simulation\nDemonstrated expertise in advanced verification methodologies (e.g., UVM, Coverage-Driven Verification).\nSolid understanding of digital design principles, computer architecture, and memory interfaces (e.g., DDR, DMA, PCIe).\nExperience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex digital designs.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.\nExperience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity considerations is a plus.\nIf you have what it takes to push boundaries and seize opportunities, apply to join our team today.\nVIAVI Solutions is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer - minorities/females/veterans/persons with disabilities.\nJob Posting Pay Range:\n95,900to\n178,100Exceptional qualifications, experience and location may impact salary.
