VIAVI employees are passionate about supporting customer success and we welcome people who bring their best every day to the company - to question, to collaborate and to push for solutions that will delight our customers.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nDesign and implementation of FPGA solutions for new product development.\nDevelop Verilog/System Verilog code for complex digital logic, including high-speed interfaces and control functions.\nPerform comprehensive simulation, synthesis, and place & route for FPGAs (e.g., AMD/Altera).\nDesign and implement test benches and verification methodologies for FPGA designs.\nCollaborate with software, firmware, and system engineers to integrate FPGA designs into larger system architectures.\nConduct hardware debugging and validation.\nGenerate detailed design documentation, including specifications, block diagrams, and test plans.\nParticipate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to design standards.\nStay abreast of new FPGA technologies, tools, and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical growth of the team.\nPre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in FPGA design and development for commercial products.\nExpertise in VHDL and/or Verilog for complex digital design.\nStrong proficiency with FPGA development tools (e.g., AMD Vivado, Intel Quartus Prime).\nExtensive experience with simulation and verification methodologies (e.g., UVM, SystemVerilog is a plus).\nSolid understanding of high-speed digital design principles, signal integrity, and timing closure.\nExperience with various communication protocols (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, SPI, I2C).\nProficiency in using lab equipment for hardware debug and validation.\nFamiliarity with embedded processors (e.g., ARM, MicroBlaze, Nios II) within FPGAs is highly desirable.\nExperience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl) for automation.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nIf you have what it takes to push boundaries and seize opportunities, apply to join our team today.\nVIAVI Solutions is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer - minorities/females/veterans/persons with disabilities.\nJob Posting Pay Range:\n90,846to\n168,714Exceptional qualifications, experience and location may impact salary.
