The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis activities of the organization. This individual is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic insights to aid in decision-making processes. The Senior Financial Analystcollaborates with various departments to assess financial performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improving financial outcomes.\nAdditional responsibilities will include supporting business leaders with forecasting, trend analysis and executive decision support. The position requires a deep understanding of the business processes, policies and systems and be a subject matter expert with regards to all financial management systems. The scope of his/her activities will have a high institutional impact as the projects will involve multiple systems affecting a broad range of corporate activities.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMain responsibilities will include the following:\nFinancial Planning and Forecasting:\nDevelop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.\nAnalyze financial data, identify key drivers, and provide insights to enhance decision-making.\nAssist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.\nMonitor budget performance, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.\nFinancial Analysis & Reporting:\nConduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and identify areas for improvement.\nEvaluate the financial impact of various projects, investments, and operational changes.\nPrepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to management and key stakeholders.\nDevelop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.\nManufacturing Variance & Cost Analysis:\nAnalyze and explain variances in manufacturing costs, including direct labor, direct materials, and overhead costs.\nCollaborate with the operations team to understand production processes, Cost Drivers and identify opportunities for cost optimization.\nAnalyze costs and cost structures to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.\nForecasting, Trend & Adhoc Analysis:\nMonitor economic, industry, and market trends to provide insights into potential impacts on the organization.\nUtilize forecasting techniques to predict future financial trends and outcomes.\nRespond to ad hoc requests for financial analysis and reporting from various departments and senior management.\nConduct special projects to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.\nCross-Functional Collaboration:\nWork closely with other departments, such as accounting, operations, and sales, to gather relevant financial information and ensure alignment with organizational goals.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:\nChartered Accountant.\nProven experience as a Senior Financial Analyst.
