Families’ experiences can vary depending on neighborhood, culture, language, transportation access, financial resources, and their interactions with schools, healthcare, behavioral-health services, child welfare, and other systems.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nExpertise navigating the children’s mental health and other child-serving systems\n\nAbility to direct and supervise a program and its staff\n\nAbility to gather data and submit reports\n\nPrior experience as Family Peer Advocate (FPA) will be a parent/caregiver of a child who has experienced social, emotional, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges and has ‘lived experience’ navigating multiple child serving systems on behalf of their child(ren) with social, emotional, developmental, health and/or behavioral healthcare needs.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nWork flexible hours, as required\n\nBilingual and bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperienced as a Family Peer Advocate (at least seven years) or Qualified Mental Health Professional with 3-years’ experience\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\n\nBilingual and bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply\n\nCandidates possessing exceptional skill but not all of the qualifications are also encouraged to apply\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nMostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone, filing cabinets, photocopiers. Some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary\n\nAbility to work collaboratively with staff, program participants, service providers and other stakeholders\n\nAbility to remain calm and composed under stress\n\nAbility to respond to telephones and other auditory stimulation\n\nWe determine base pay through a comprehensive review of skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
