Better™ drives our innovation team to discover new, on trend solutions.\nAs the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will lead critical EHS programs at our Indianapolis facility. In this highly visible role, you will develop and manage initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture throughout the site.This is an actively hands-on role that requires consistent engagement on the plant floor.\nHow will you contribute:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to:\nLead and manage the daily operations of the site EHS function and production operators.\nDevelop practical solutions and execute them with urgency and ownership.\nLead the site's environmental programs, including waste management, air and water permits, and chemical requirements.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS programs in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.\nPromote a proactive safety culture through training, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nConduct safety audits, inspections, and root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions.\nOversee reporting and recordkeeping for environmental and safety metrics.\nServe as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and inspections.\nDraft and enforce safety policies and procedures.\nChampion the EHS Management System by utilizing data to identify trends and drive improvements.\nLead security efforts in partnership with Corporate and plant Leadership Teams.\nMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:\nCSP or ASP certification preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field preferred.\n4-6 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.\nStrong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and relevant EHS regulations.\nExperience with EHS Management Systems, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.\nAbility to independently drive EHS initiatives from identification through implementation with minimal supervision.\nStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS software platforms.\nWork Environment:\nMay involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.\nAbility to work in hot and cold manufacturing production environments.\nWhat Florida Food Products can offer you:\nGenerous time off for vacations\nPaid Holidays\n401(k) with company match\nTuition reimbursement\nMedical/Dental/Vision\nHealth & Wellness programs\nMore about us:\nVibrant Ingredients, headquartered in Lake Mary, FL, is one of the world's leading independent providers of natural ingredients.
