The ideal candidate must be familiar with cooling equipment facilities that utilize refrigeration systems and boilers to meet the comfort cooling requirements of our customer service locations as well as the distribution system. This role will primarily operate the facility but will be required to learn basic plant maintenance to assist as necessary. The OMT oversees the operation of assigned plant and distribution system. This is a full-time non-exempt position. This position is in Tulsa OK and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.\n\nResponsibilities\nMaintain safe working conditions in accordance with established company policies.\nIdentify, report and/or correct unsafe work environments.\nEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by assisting in preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.\nRemoves defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.\nOperate all hand/power tools in a competent manner.\nInstall, repair, replace, and trouble shoot plant equipment to include piping systems, valves, traps, pumps and boilers.\nPerform preventive maintenance as scheduled.\nMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.\nExercise caution in the operations and maintenance of all company equipment.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nMust be able to work overtime as required.\nRequired to pass plant operator qualification training.\nAble to obtain the City of Tulsa Stationary Engineer license within one year of employment.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nHS Diploma or GED.\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in steam or equipment operations and maintenance or related experience.\nKnowledge of the principles of boiler and chilled water plant operations.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nState of Oklahoma High Pressure Boiler License.\nUniversal Refrigerant Handling License.\nExperience with water chemistry.\nProficient with MS Office suite.\n\nOther Qualifications\nAbility to communicate orally and in writing.\nAbility to work independently.\nExperience with Maximo or other work order CMS system.\n\nPhysical Requirements \nMust submit to company provided pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.\nMust possess a valid driver license in good standing to operate a company vehicle. Must have and maintain a driving record meeting the standards of the company.\nAbility to climb and tolerate heights up to 75 feet and to tolerate confined spaces.\nAbility to lift, maneuver and transport up to 50 lbs.
