This position is responsible for the close, analysis of results, budgets, forecasts, accuracy of customer billings, financial analysis and monitoring of CAPEX projects, and support to operations and business development teams. This position reports to the Regional Finance Director and is located in Baltimore, MD. This is a full-time, exempt position. The compensation for this position is $100,000-120,000 per year plus 15% bonus target.\n\nResponsibilities \n\nFinancial Leadership & Regional Support\nBusiness Unit Close Leadership: For assigned business units, lead the full month-end close process—including booking journal entries, managing complex account reconciliations, and clearly explaining financial results.\nFinancial Planning & Analysis: Drive the development of regional budgets, localized rolling forecasts, and the proactive identification of financial risks and opportunities.\nCapEx & Working Capital Management: Oversee and manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets and identify/implement working capital improvements.\nFinancial Support to Operations: Act as an analytical resource for operations (Ops), translating complex financial data into meaningful guidance regarding safety, system financial reliability, and financial performance.\n\n Issue Resolution & Account Management Partnership\nBilling Problem Resolution: Take ownership of problem resolution and navigate troubleshooting for complex customer utility-billing discrepancies or disputes.\nCustomized Reporting: Assist in the development of customized, ad-hoc financial reports to support specialized data requests from the account management or finance teams.\nGeneral Account Management Support: Provide general operational and financial support to the account management group to ensure commercial clients are served seamlessly.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics or related field from an accredited college or university\nMinimum of 3 years' financial analysis or accounting experience, preferably in technical services or engineering industry, including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertified Public Accountant or willingness to obtain.\n\nOther Qualifications\nProficient with Microsoft Office suite; specifically Excel\nAbility to independently audit, navigate, and build complex formulas in high-volume data workbooks.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization with personnel and executive management.\nUnderstanding of basic debits, credits, revenue recognition, and balance sheet mechanics.\nStrong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details and ability to review materials for accuracy.\nAbility to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks.\n\nPhysical Requirements \nMust submit to company provided pre-employment drug screening.\n\nBenefits\nPersonal Leave \nFMLA up to 12 weeks based on approval\nNonpaid benefit\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\n120 hours accrued annually which equals 4.62 hours per pay period\nSick Leave\n40 hours per calendar year prorated based on month of hire\nPaid Parental Leave\n100% pay up to 160 hours upon birth or adoption of a child;
