As an engineering-focused company, we provide an opportunity to work with some of the most advanced manufacturing processes in the world to assemble the power modules that drive key advancements in AI, electric vehicles, and aerospace.\nCurently we are seeking a Supervisor to run our 1st shift production operation.\nJob Description\nMonitor line performance and take corrective action to eliminate process problems.\nAssure that schedules are met, resources properly allocated, production interruptions are resolved quickly and effectively while facilitating an overall smooth running production line.\nPlans and coordinates production activities and team objectives providing necessary direction for production team members\nMonitor line throughput, cycle time and scrap on a daily basis\nWork with hourly production and maintenance personnel to assure proper utilization of production equipment\nPromote open communication with specific responsibility toward the production team and its operating personnel concerning goals, performance standards, company policies and procedures\nMaximizes the utilization of manpower through effective cross-training, development and delegation\nLead Focused Improvement Teams to improve, Quality, Service, Safety and Cost\nWork with team to develop, execute and sustain Operating Procedures\nLead team in tracking and understanding Key Performance Indicators, Gap Analysis, and Action Oriented activities\nBe a technical resource to operators resolving minor equipment and or production problems\nResponsible for maintaining health and safety of the production line, assuring company policy for health and safety are met\nEducation / Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Business Management or Equivalent Experience\nMinimum of 5 - 7 years’ production experience\nStrong team-based attitude\nExperience in implementing or enhancing teams\nDemonstration experience with cross-functional teams\nStrong communication and team management skills\nGood hands on manufacturing skills\nDemonstrated experience utilizing world class manufacturing techniques such as SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.\nAbility to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.\nVicor is an EO employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability\nCompensation Data\n$85,000 - $100k\nPlease note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures.
