You’ll be responsible for material handling, shipping and receiving activities, and the assembly and fabrication of PVC and CPVC valve products.\nOvertime: Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift as business conditions require it. Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed. Overtime will be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nMust be able to successfully follow directions and adhere to all safety and work instructions.\nEnsure production is to Victaulic’s established quality standards\nMust be a team player who works effectively with others and contributes to a positive work environment.\nMust be able to safely operate PIVs (Powered Industrial Vehicles i.e. fork trucks, pallet jacks and walk behind stackers), industrial wrappers and jib hoists\nBe able to safely load and unload trucks. \nFollow established work instructions and standard operating procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.\nExcellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently identify products and product defects \nMaintain work areas, tools, and materials in a clean and organized condition and return materials to designated locations after use.\nFollow all safety procedures and guidelines and participate in continuous improvement, quality, safety, and waste reduction initiatives.\nReport immediately to their supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment.\nPerform all “5S” Daily Requirements and maintain a clean and organized workspace\nRead and interpret work orders, shipping documents, labels, and production instructions.\nComplete all required paperwork, documentation, record keeping and inventory accurately and legibly\nCommunicate immediately any unsafe conditions or non-conforming raw materials or products\nAbility to gather necessary products and materials accurately for all customer orders assigned to them\nMust be able to assemble valves using mechanical assembly methods and/or solvent welding processes.\nMeet established productivity, quality, and safety expectations.\nWHAT YOU NEED\nAbility to effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkers.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.\nAbility to read and understand work instructions, shipping paperwork, and production documentation.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and technical skills required.\nAbility to safely lift up to 40 pounds.\nAbility to safely use hand tools and basic measuring devices.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nExperience operating pallet jacks and material handling equipment preferred.\nMotivated self-starter with the ability to work independently\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nEmployee will be working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment\nEmployee will lift up to 40lbs, generally 5-40lbs\nFrequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing\nEmployee may have to work on the weekends, overtime, or different shifts\nEmployee will wear personal protective equipment at all times such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, etc\nWHAT WE OFFER\nCompetitive hourly pay with shift differentials and overtime opportunities\nHealth, dental, and vision coverage\nRetirement savings plan with company match\nPaid time off and holidays\nCareer growth-we promote from within\nTuition reimbursement and skills training\nCOMPENSATION\nThe hourly pay range for this position is $19.50 per hour.
