In this role, you’ll own the floor - leading a team of skilled production and welding employees and taking accountability for the people, the numbers, and the day-to-day decisions that drive throughput, quality, and safety every shift. You’ll work closely with Production Managers, QA, Maintenance, and planning and materials teams to keep your area running to standard, develop the bench beneath you, and represent the heartbeat of the floor to leadership. This is an opportunity to lead where welding craftsmanship meets data-driven decision-making, with real ownership over your area’s performance.\nWHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN\nOwn the core manufacturing KPIs for your area - schedule adherence, daily attainment/throughput, First Pass Yield (FPY), and Work in Process (WIP) - and speak plainly to what's driving the numbers.\nUse basic data analytics to spot trends and turn that insight into daily decisions and corrective action.\nProvide day-to-day direction for welding and pipe fit-up operations to meet quality and production goals.\nOffer technical guidance in welding methods, techniques, and equipment use, and review work orders and drawings for accuracy.\nOwn first-line quality in your area - flag non-conformances, coordinate with QA on weld quality standards, and keep the area audit-ready.\nEvaluate equipment condition, submit maintenance requests, and coordinate with maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.\nDrive continuous improvement - identify efficiency initiatives, maintain 5S/visual management standards, and participate in improvement events like FEM and summits.\nPartner with planners and materials teams to manage inventory and keep parts available.\nAssure a safe working environment; investigate and document workplace injuries and incidents promptly.\nSupervise hourly employees, monitor work habits, and apply the employee handbook and disciplinary process consistently.\nPresent team status, KPI performance, and improvement updates clearly to leadership and peers, and escalate issues promptly.\nSupport the development of direct reports - including growing a Lead to absorb daily execution tasks - and contribute to quarterly performance evaluations.\nWHAT YOU BRING\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting; lead or supervisory experience preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of arc welding processes for carbon/stainless steel and alloy metals (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).\nAbility to read blueprints and drawings, check dimensions, and allocate resources effectively.\nDetail-oriented with strong math skills and a mechanical mindset.\nComfortable operating and understanding welding equipment and related manufacturing tools (e.g., cranes, cutting tools, molding presses).\nClear communicator with leadership qualities, team spirit, and a strong sense of accountability.\nComfortable working in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) as a daily working tool.\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods on an active production floor, with PPE compliance required throughout the shift.\nWHAT SETS YOU APART\nBachelor’s degree or technical certification.\nWorking familiarity with, or willingness to learn, Qlik and Mendix for production and materials data.\nComfort using AI-based tools to support reporting, analysis, and communication.\nHands-on ability to perform or demonstrate core production and welding tasks alongside your team.\nWHAT WE OFFER\nBuild A Better Career\nCompetitive compensation with performance-based incentives \nCareer development programs and internal promotion pathways-we build from within \nTuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunities \nBuild A Better Future\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage \nRetirement savings plans with company match \nLife insurance and disability coverage \nBuild A Better You\nPaid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements where applicable \nEmployee Assistance Programs (EAP) and wellness resources \nInclusive, team-oriented culture where people look out for one another \nBuild A Better World\nJoin a company whose products contribute to a safer, more sustainable built environment every day.\nIMMIGRATION SPONSORSHIP\nVictaulic does not provide immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, or other work visa sponsorship) for this position.
