In this role, you'll serve as the technical bridge between Victaulic and the acoustical consulting community, provide expert review of vibration isolation and noise control designs, and advise leadership on the capabilities Victaulic needs to build to succeed in this market.\nOver time, the role will expand into direct acoustic and vibration consulting on projects.\nWHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWN\nBuild and maintain relationships with acoustical consultants, MEP engineers of record, and architects across North America.\nReview project specifications (e.g., Section 23 05 48, Vibration and Seismic Controls) and drawings; advise on how Victaulic's vibration isolation solutions meet or exceed consultant design intent.\nServe as the primary technical resource for consultant questions on product performance, deflection criteria, and equivalency.\nDevelop technical guidance, application notes, and training materials for internal engineering and sales teams.\nAdvise leadership on product development, testing data, and documentation needed to secure specification positions.\nWHAT YOU BRING\nBachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering, acoustics, or a related technical field.\n8+ years of experience at an acoustical or MEP consulting firm, with direct responsibility for building mechanical noise and vibration design.\nHands-on experience with equipment vibration isolation selection, structure-borne noise control, floating floors, and pipe/duct isolation.\nStrong working knowledge of noise and vibration criteria, measurement instrumentation, and data analysis.\nDemonstrated ability to read and critique architectural, mechanical, and structural drawings, and to write or review specifications.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialists.\nEstablished professional network within the acoustical consulting community.\nAbility to travel up to 25% for project sites, client meetings, and Victaulic facilities.\nWHAT SETS YOU APART\nProfessional Engineer (PE) or P.Eng license.\nINCE Board Certification.\nActive involvement in ASA, INCE, or NCAC.\nSeismic restraint design experience (ASCE 7 / IBC; OSHPD/HCAI a plus).\nExperience in healthcare, data center, or education projects.\nProficiency with acoustic and vibration modeling software, Revit/BIM, and AutoCAD.\nFamiliarity with piping thermal expansion and riser design.\nWHAT WE OFFER\nBuild A Better Career\nCompetitive compensation with performance-based incentives\nCareer development programs and internal promotion pathways - we build from within\nTuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunities\nBuild A Better Future\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage\nRetirement savings plan (401K) with company match\nCompany-paid short-term disability and life insurance\nBuild A Better You\nPaid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements where applicable\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness resources\nTuition reimbursement and adoption assistance\nInclusive, team-oriented culture where people look out for one another\nBuild A Better World\nJoin a company whose products contribute to a safer, more sustainable built environment every day.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe base salary range for this position will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.
