This role is site-based and will work closely with construction, project management, clients, and quality leadership to achieve successful project execution.\nYour responsibilities would include:\nResponsible for execution of quality assurance and quality control activities on the project site.\nCoordinate and implement project QA/QC activities in accordance with the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and client requirements.\nReview, maintain and control project quality documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely resolution of deficiencies. \nExecute inspection activities as applicable, such as for foundations, grounding, structure erection, conductor installation and material receiving activities.\nPerform and document inspections while ensuring all check sheets, photographic records and quality documentation are completed and maintained in accordance with project requirements. \nPromote compliance with the Company Quality Manual, Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and client requirements.\nSupport all quality team members and ensure requirements are met of the applicable Contract, Client Standards, Provincial and Federal Regulations, and Code(s) of Construction.\nCoordinate with the material management team to ensure material receiving inspections are completed and verify material traceability, certification, storage, and conformance to project requirements. \nIdentify and communicate any material issues to the material management team, i.e. including missing or damaged material.\nDocument Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), deficiencies and corrective actions and coordinate with team members through to closure.\nRequirements\n5+ years experience in construction of foundations, transmission, distribution and/or substations.\nUtility construction or foundation construction experience is preferred.\nAbility to read, interpret and apply Codes, Standards, Specifications and Drawing.\nKeen attention to detail and organizational skills.\nExperience working on major utility construction projects is an asset.\nAbility to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nService-oriented with the ability to be assertive and persuasive.\nSound judgment with the ability to maintain confidentiality.\nResourceful and maintains professional and technical skills.\nStrong computer knowledge including MS Word and Excel, as well as learning new software platforms.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience in transmission and distribution construction, specifically holding one of the following backgrounds or equivalent:\nPower Line Technician (PLT)\nElectrical Engineering Technologist\nConstruction Inspector\nUtility Inspector\nBenefits\nExtended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, Dental)\nGroup RRSP\nGroup Life -
