This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi,\n\nAre you a detail-oriented and analytical professional passionate about data engineering, automation, and delivering actionable business insights?\n\nVictory Farms Kenya is seeking a proactive and skilled Data Engineer to build reliable data pipelines, automate data workflows, and deliver high-quality analytics and reporting that support informed business decision-making.\n\nYou will play a key role in transforming raw data into reliable, actionable intelligence, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and consistency to drive operational efficiency and business growth.\n\nReporting directly to the Director of Data and Innovation, you will work within the Technology and Innovation department, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.\n\nThis is a hands-on technical role for someone who is analytical, solutions-oriented, detail-focused, and committed to building reliable data systems that deliver meaningful business impact.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nData Pipelines & Data Architecture\n\nDesign, build, and maintain data pipelines from ERPNext and related systems into the analytics warehouse (e.g., Snowflake)\n\nExtract and transform core business data, including finance, inventory, procurement, sales, HR, and operations\n\nDevelop and maintain clean, well-documented data models (fact tables, dimensions, marts) aligned to business reporting needs\n\nEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and historical integrity across all pipelines\n\nMonitor pipeline health and resolve data breaks, latency, or reconciliation issues\n\nAutomation & Data Operations\n\nAutomate data ingestion, transformations, and refresh schedules across the stack\n\nBuild data quality checks, validations, and exception alerts (e.g., missing data, outliers, reconciliation mismatches)\n\nAutomate recurring operational reports and refresh cycles for dashboards\n\nReduce manual spreadsheet-based processes through scripted or scheduled workflows\n\nMaintain clear documentation of data sources, logic, and dependencies\n\nAnalytics, Reporting & Business Insights\n\nDevelop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for finance, operations, HR, and leadership\n\nPartner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting logic\n\nTranslate ERP transactions into meaningful performance indicators and trends\n\nSupport ad-hoc analysis, management reporting, and executive decision-making\n\nEnsure reports are intuitive, trusted, and aligned to a single source of truth\n\nTools & Technologies\n\nERP & Source Systems: ERPNext and integrated operational systems\n\nData Warehouse: Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse)\n\nAnalytics & BI: Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboards)\n\nData Transformation: SQL, scripted transformations, data modeling frameworks\n\nAutomation & Scheduling: Scheduled jobs, APIs, connectors, or workflow tools\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field\n\n3+ years of experience in data modelling and analysis, with a focus on visualization tools such as Power BI development and tabular data modeling.\n\nProficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, DAX or similar.\n\nAutomation mindset with attention to data quality and reliability\n\nStrong understanding of data governance principles, compliance requirements, and best practices.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.\n\nProven track record of leading and delivering complex data analysis projects from inception to completion.\n\nAbility to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nCertification in Power BI, Snowflake, or related technologies is a plus.\n\nBenefit:\n\nVisibility into the world’s fastest growing aquaculture company.\n\nIdeal for a candidate looking to dive into a mission-oriented Organization.\n\nThe team is committed to the candidate’s success and will provide coaching, mentorship, and unique exposure to people and experiences that come from the most successful leaders in the entrepreneurial community and the social sector.\n\nHow to Apply\n\nPlease send your 2-page CV and cover letter expressing your interest and qualifications to  indicating Data Engineer and Analytics Specialist as the email subject.
