Victory Junction is a member of SeriousFun Children's Network and is accredited by the American Camp Association.\nThe Accounting Specialist works as a key member of the Victory Junction Finance Team, supporting the team in administering day-to-day accounting operations and is responsible for accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, cash receipts, expense transactions, camp store accounting and other financial records. This position works closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO to maintain accurate financial information, support internal controls, and assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.\nManage accounts payable processing, including reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, approvals, and timely payment\nServe as an administrator for Bill, including vendor setup and maintenance\nProcess and reconcile Spend & Expense credit card transactions, ensuring appropriate documentation, coding and approvals\nRecord cash receipts and deposits and maintain supporting documentation\nManage camp store accounting, including sales activity, inventory transactions, reconciliations, and related financial reporting\nMaintain and reconcile prepaid expense schedules, providing information necessary for accounting entries\nMaintain vendor records, obtain and review W9 documentation, and assist with 1099 reporting\nAssist Accounting Manager with sales tax returns\nMaintain and manage accounting records in accordance with document retention policies\nAssist with month-end and year-end close by providing schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and other information as requested\nRequirements\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential\nduty satisfactorily.
