This role supports sound financial stewardship across hospitals, universities, tribal governments, and non-profits.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview and analyze Cost Allocation Plans (CAPs) and Indirect Cost Rate Proposals (IDCRPs).\nValidate that costs are:\nAllowable and reasonable\nProperly documented\nCompliant with federal grant requirements\nReconcile cost data with financial statements, budgets, and supporting records.\nIdentify and exclude unallowable costs from calculations.\nAssist in evaluating cost distribution methods across multiple programs.\nSupport preparation of financial reports, findings, and recommendations.\nMaintain accurate spreadsheets, tracking tools, and financial records.\nCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (including grant recipients).\nFamiliarity with federal cost principles, internal controls, and risk assessment.\nExperience with federal audits (Single Audit, OIG, GAO).\nProvide basic guidance on cost allocation and grant compliance.\nFederal Government experience is mandatory.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.\nCPA not required.\nQualifications & Required Experience\n7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or grants management.\nHands-on experience with direct and indirect cost allocation.\nExperience working with or supporting grant requests from:\nHospitals\nUniversities\nTribal entities\nNon-profit organizations\nUnderstanding of federal grant regulations (2 CFR Part 200)\nKnowledge of GAAP and basic cost accounting principles.\nStrong Excel, this includes pivot tables, lookups, data validation, and error-checking. and data analysis skills.\nExperience with financial systems (UFMS, PMS, GrantSolutions, or similar).\nGood attention to detail and organizational skills.\nUnderstanding of grant requests from hospitals, universities, tribal entities, and non-pofits.\nDirect and indirect cost allocation.\n Federal Government
