and manage their lifecycle within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).\nMaintain high code standards through Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated unit/integration tests, and proactive code reviews.\nImplement application-level logging, tracing (using OpenTelemetry), and health checks to allow proactive monitoring within Azure Monitor.\nEnsure all developed code follows Secure SDLC practices and meets strict industry requirements (GDPR, Solvency II).\nParticipate in technical discussions with Data Engineers and SREs to align application architecture with platform and infrastructure goals.\nDeliver and maintain robust Java-based microservices using Spring Boot or Quarkus.\nEnsure seamless integration with Azure services including Azure Service Bus, Cosmos DB and Azure SQL.\nDesign, document and maintain secure, versioned RESTful or gRPC APIs.\nContribute to a high-quality codebase through TDD, automated testing and observability.\nIdentify opportunities to optimize performance and simplify complex workflows.\nPartner with SREs and business stakeholders to translate complex reinsurance logic into functional solutions.\nTroubleshoot and resolve application-level bugs and performance bottlenecks.\nWhat we Expect\nUniversity degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field\nProven experience developing enterprise-grade backend systems, ideally within financial services, insurance, or highly regulated sectors\nAdvanced proficiency in Java (17+) and the Spring ecosystem\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), SQL and NoSQL databases\nKnowledge of Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ\nKnowledge of OWASP secure coding practices, GDPR and regulated environments\nOracle Certified Professional: Java SE Developer or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification is an advantage\nDeep technical expertise in building, scaling and securing modern application components\nDetail-oriented and focused on delivering high-quality work\nProactive and interested in the latest technologies\nStrong communication, collaboration and networking skills.\nAnalytical and
