You’ll participate in all aspects of the design process with Viget’s clients, including research, discovery, exploration, prototyping, and UI design.\nWe’re specifically looking for candidates interested in Web Design and Product Design.\nThe Basics\nThe internship is offered atour office in downtown Boulder, CO. \nThe internship lasts 10 weeks, from June 7 to August 13. Viget is closed on June 18th and July 5th.\nInterns are expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (usually 9-5, but we can be somewhat flexible).\nBenefits\nWe offer a $6,000/summer stipend, paid monthly on a pro rata basis. Course credit is also an option.\nWe provide free coffee, seltzer, soda, and snacks in the office.\nWe provide free lunch once a week to all staff (including interns).\nWe offer several opportunities to connect with coworkers each week, both in-person and virtually, including our weekly all-hands meeting.\nYou’ll experience Viget at its most vigorous by participating in summer activities, challenges, hang-outs, etc.\nOur Interns\nHave the permanent, legal right to work in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship for any type of employment visa, including F-1 (OPT/CPT), H-1B, TN, O-1, or any other temporary or student-based work authorization.\nAre currently enrolled in college. We will review first-year graduate students and first or second year college students, but preference will be given to juniors and seniors in college.\nHave a track record of hard work and success. Examples could be effectively balancing school and work, holding leadership positions in various activities, or high academic achievement.\nGet things done. We look for students who like responsibility, see things through, and take pride in a job well done.\nAre strong communicators and effective collaborators.\nOur Web Designer Interns\nHave experience in web design, brand identity, or digital design, and have a truly exceptional portfolio that shows off a strong eye for typography, color, layout, and composition.\nAre familiar with design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), or are confident in their ability to quickly become comfortable with these tools.\nEnjoy building visual systems, like type scales, color palettes, iconography, and reusable components, that turn a brand into a flexible design language working across many pages and screens.\nAre passionate about typography, imagery, and visual storytelling. They notice the details others miss, collect inspiration from websites, brands, and campaigns they admire, and have strong opinions about what makes a design feel memorable.\nOur Product Designer Interns\nHave experience in mobile app design, web design, or digital product design, and have a truly exceptional design portfolio to show off that work.\nAre familiar with design tools like Figma or Sketch or are confident in their ability to quickly become comfortable with these tools.\nEnjoy diving into technical details and are curious about the technologies used to build modern websites, apps, and other digital products. They're the first among friends to know about the latest trends, methods, and tools in the web and tech industries.\nAre passionate about design, aesthetics, and usability.
