You'll work from messy problems, ambiguous user behavior, technical constraints, and fast-moving product bets, then turn them into simple, trustworthy, high-craft product experiences.\nYou should be the kind of designer who could thrive in a top product company, but wants more ownership, more speed, and more room to define the thing instead of optimizing a small piece of it.\nWhat You'll Actually Do\nDesign core Viktor product surfaces across Slack, Microsoft Teams, the web, desktop, and mobile apps, onboarding, integrations, permissions, billing, collaboration, and admin flows\n\nSet the visual bar for the product: typography, color, spacing, and composition that make Viktor feel premium and trustworthy at first glance\n\nTurn vague, high-stakes product problems into clear interaction models\n\nWork directly with engineers to ship fast, not hand off and disappear\n\nPrototype AI-native UX patterns before the industry has settled on obvious answers\n\nImprove clarity, trust, and control in moments where AI behavior can feel confusing\n\nSweat the details: empty states, loading states, error states, edge cases, copy, spacing, hierarchy\n\nHelp raise the product taste bar across everything users touch\n\nWho You Are\nStrong product taste. You can explain why one flow feels obvious and another feels broken\n\nExceptional visual design as a core strength. Typography, color, layout, composition: your interfaces look world-class, not just work well, and your portfolio proves it\n\nVery high craft in interaction design and detail\n\nHigh autonomy. You do not need every problem fully specified before you can move\n\nSpeed. You can go from ambiguous problem to prototype to shipped product quickly\n\nSystems thinking. You design reusable patterns, not isolated screens\n\nComfort with ambiguity. AI products do not have mature playbooks yet\n\nStrong collaboration with engineers. You understand constraints and use them well\n\nA portfolio with real product work, not just beautiful case-study decoration\n\nYou'll Probably Be A Strong Fit If\nYou've worked on products where interaction quality, speed, and trust really matter\n\nYou care about reducing hesitation, not just making the UI look premium\n\nYou can design both the happy path and the weird edge case\n\nYou're comfortable moving through ambiguity without waiting for perfect requirements\n\nYou want to invent interaction patterns for AI employees, not copy SaaS dashboards from 2021\n\nEven Better If\nYou've designed for a product-led company with very high UX standards\n\nYou use Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Replit, v0, or similar tools to turn ideas into working prototypes\n\nYou have opinions about AI product UX because you've fought with the tools yourself\n\nYou understand the difference between a polished Figma prototype and something people can actually use\n\nProbably Not a Fit If\nYou only design what someone else has already fully specified\n\nYou see engineering as a handoff partner, not a creative partner\n\nYour product design workflow ends at Figma\n\nWhy This Role Is Different\nMost AI products are still designed like chat boxes and dashboards. Viktor needs something better: a product language for delegating work, tracking progress, correcting behavior, understanding cost, trusting outputs, and collaborating with an AI teammate inside the tools people already use every day.\nYou'll help define what good UX for AI employees looks like before the category has settled.
