You will manage, motivate, develop and direct the team and cross­ functional colleagues to achieve our business objectives.\nAs Channel Controller, you will manage and develop relationships with one of our top four accounts - Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s or Morrisons - driving success in this channel and establishing mutually beneficial business terms.\nKey Responsibilities\nBudget Management: Achieve Channel and Account specific budgets, proactively managing / evaluating all account activity to provide options, recommendations and solutions for potential issues and opportunities\nStakeholder Management: Maintain / build effective relationships across customer teams\n Line Management: Train, develop and motivate team (direct & indirect). Responsible for managing all employee related activity in line with company policies (if managing a team)\nCommercial Management: Oversee the development and execution of Buy Sell Plans\nIdentifying Opportunities: Effectively sell-in NPD priorities across the sector\n Cross collaboration: Maintain close communications with other functions internally (e.g. Category, Supply, Finance) to ensure cross-functional collaboration\nForecasting: Accurate forecasting for demand planning and financial modelling purposes, whilst maintaining forecasting rules and practices\nBusiness Development: Network all personnel in the channel’s accounts to develop & identify sales opportunities\nBusiness Reviews: Ability to conduct business reviews with key customers to review key financial measures and business metrics\nCoaching: Deploys a range of coaching interventions to match the learning styles of coaches within own team \nPromotional Evaluation: Has detailed understanding of promotional effectiveness pre and post analysis benchmarked internally and externally\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nExperience: Minimum 3 years’ sales leadership experience, at least at SNAM / Controller level, with direct experience of managing the channel\nLeadership: 2 years+ Team leadership experience\nSales Delivery: Track record of delivery\nAdvanced Account Management: overseeing and optimising customer accounts\nCollaboration: Experience in working cross-functionally and managing cross functional projects whilst working strategically and at pace with resilience and collaboration\nCommercial Acumen: understanding and application of business principles, financial insights, and market dynamics to make informed, strategic decisions that drive business success\nCommunication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas and strategies to Senior Leadership and external stakeholders with confidence and authenticity.\nAdvanced Numeracy: ability to understand and use advanced mathematics in a real-world setting\nOwnership: Takes ownership and accountability for their area\n Stakeholder Management: Ability to foster strong working relationships (internal & external)\n Other Requirements\nOccasional out of hours work may be required\nFull Driving License\nAbility to frequently travel within UK - to customer head offices, trade events, Vinarchy offices\nOccasional overseas travel to accompany customers on buying visits (e.g. Spain, South Africa)\nBachelor’s Degree advantageous\nWSET advantageous\nWhy Join Us?\nVinarchy is a home for passionate people to do their very best work.
