From October through April, you’ll support Vineyard Operations by scheduling and tracking work orders, managing data, and keeping our systems aligned.\nAs harvest ramps up, you’ll step into a key operational role, becoming the Day Shift Weighbridge Supervisor during vintage.\nYou’ll be the operational heartbeat of harvest: aligning vineyard ripeness, fruit transport and efficiently and without bottlenecks.\nWhat You'll be Doing\nSeasonal Planning (Oct-Feb)\nScheduling and tracking vineyard work orders through to completion\n\nManaging Grapelink spray diary entries and compliance data\n\nData entry, record management and workflow tracking\n\nCollating information from viticultural operations\n\nSupporting winemakers with intake planning and daily workflow preparation\n\n__\nVintage Operations (Feb-Apr)\nAs harvest intensifies, your role evolves into a true Vintage Operations Planner/Coordinator, managing the complex scheduling, logistics and communication required during the busiest time of year.\nYou will:\nCoordinate maturity testing and align daily pick dates with viticulturists and growers\nManage truck arrivals, weighing, and grape receival schedules to prevent bottlenecks\nRecord intake statistics, block tonnages and work orders using wine tracking software (e.g., Vintrace)\nSupervise the weighbridge during day shift\nMaintain clear communication between vineyard crews, winery teams and logistics providers\nThis role is full-time fixed term, with hours increasing during peak vintage.\nYour Knowledge and Skills\nYou’re a natural organiser with strong technical capability and a calm, professional presence. You enjoy juggling multiple priorities and keeping complex operations running smoothly.\nWe’re looking for someone with:\nA professional background in administration, operations or winery logistics\nHigh computer literacy (Office 365, strong Excel skills)\nExcellent communication skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy...A solid level of English, literacy and numeracy is required to ensure safe work practices on site. \nAbility to follow procedures and work well under pressure\nExperience in Vinyard operations and logistics (ideal)\nAbility to prioritise tasks with remaining safety focused \nA can-do attitude, enthusiasm and continuous improvement mindset\nFull legal right to work in New Zealand\nEssential Qualifications\nVinarchy is a home for passionate people to do their best work.
