This role combines hands-on electrical work with on-site supervision responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.\nThe Role\nAct as the lead electrical supervisor on customer sites during project delivery.\n\nSupervise electrical installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.\n\nCoordinate daily site activities and ensure works are delivered in line with project schedules.\n\nMonitor workmanship and ensure compliance with electrical standards, specifications and company procedures.\n\nConduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.\n\nLiaise with customers, project managers, engineers and other contractors on site.\n\nManage site documentation, permits, progress reporting and quality records.\n\nEnsure all works comply with current health, safety and environmental legislation.\n\nElectrical Installation & Commissioning:\nCarry out electrical installation, modification and maintenance activities.\n\nInstall and terminate power, control and instrumentation cabling.\n\nAssemble, wire and modify control panels and electrical systems.\n\nSupport commissioning and fault-finding activities on industrial automation systems.\n\nPerform electrical testing, inspection and verification.\n\nDiagnose and rectify electrical faults in industrial environments.\n\nAbout You\nRecognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualification.\n\nNVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Installation.\n\nProven experience working in industrial electrical environments.\n\nPrevious experience supervising electrical installation teams on site.\n\nStrong understanding of electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.\n\nExperience with control panels, motor control centres, industrial power distribution and automation systems.\n\nAbility to manage multiple site activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.\n\nStrong communication and leadership skills.\n\nFull UK driving licence.\n\nWillingness to travel extensively and stay away from home for prolonged periods when projects require\n\nDesirable:\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).\n\nInspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).\n\nECS/CSCS Card.\n\nSSSTS or SMSTS qualification.\n\nExperience working with PLC-controlled systems and industrial automation equipment.\n\nCOMPEX qualification (where applicable)\n\nThis role offers a unique opportunity to combine technical electrical expertise with supervisory responsibility, playing a key role in the successful delivery of CDD Automation Solutions' industrial automation and electrical installation projects across the UK.
