You will be responsible for delivering the commercial and contract management of our projects, from inception to final account. You will work closely with project teams and support functions, and build strong relationships with our clients and supply chain. Your enthusiastic, proactive and professional approach will be key to successful project commercial outcomes.\n Key Accountabilities\n Provide commercial delivery of the following aspects for projects that operate on a lump sum, remeasurable, target cost, or reimbursable basis:\n Project cash flow and budget\nContractual terms & conditions (both client and supply chain)\nInterim applications in accordance with contract procedures\nChange management, in accordance with contract procedures\nNegotiation of contract amendments, including review of terms & conditions\nSubcontract account management, including review of interim applications, preparation of payment certificates, management and assessment of potential changes, and final accounting upon completion\nPreparation of internal cost / commercial reports, including accurate margin forecasting\nPeople management\nCompliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations\n Reports to\n Senior Commercial Manager or Head of Commercial\n Qualifications and Experience\n · Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or in a related subject (candidates with appropriate experience may be considered)\n · 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying in the engineering or construction industry\n · Excellent understanding of the NEC suite of contracts (particularly Options C & E)\n · Demonstrable experience of successfully carrying out Quantity Surveying duties on multiple engineering and/or construction projects\n · Excellent oral and written communication skills\n · Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, clients, and the supply chain\n · Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines\n · PC literate in the Microsoft Office suite\n Desirable\n · Proficient in the use of the CEMAR Contract Management System\n · Line management experience\n · Current SC Clearance, or ability to achieve SC Clearance through NUVIA\n · Full UK driving licence\n · Flexibility to travel to other UK offices and sites on occasion as necessary\n Employee Staff Benefits:\n 8.5% Employer Pension Contribution with Life Assurance Cover\nPrivate Medical Scheme*\nEmployee Share Scheme\nFlexible and hybrid working, in agreement with local line management.\n25 Days Annual Leave (increasing to 28 days after 5 years’ service, 31 days after 10 years’ service)\nOption to buy, sell and carry over up to 5 days annual leave per year.\nSalary Sacrifice Schemes: Electrical Vehicles, Technology and Cycle to Work.\n18 Weeks Full Maternity Pay* (+21w SMP)\nIn Partnership with Trade Unions\nPersonal Development & Further Education Support\nLong Service & Recognition Awards\nFantastic Employee Discounts\nFree Employee Assistance Programme\n…..
