Lead CS&A Engineer

Join NUVIA UK, a fast-growing company in the Technical Services & Consulting department. As a Lead CS&A Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering structural engineering outputs, leading CS&A delivery across multiple projects, and applying sound structural engineering judgment. You will work with a high degree of autonomy and be responsible for the technical authoring, checking, and verification of structural engineering documents and drawings.

Missions

• Responsible for the delivery of structural engineering outputs within their assigned scope of work, leading CS&A delivery across multiple projects.
• Applying sound structural engineering judgement to develop, check, and deliver safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose civil and structural engineering solutions.
• Operating with a high degree of autonomy within defined scope and being responsible for the technical authoring, checking and verification of structural engineering documents and drawings.

Profil recherché

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Demonstrable experience delivering structural engineering design within a regulated or complex engineering environment.
• Experience developing and checking structural engineering deliverables in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and technical specifications.
• Experience undertaking structural analysis, assessment, and verification of new and existing structures.
• Experience applying relevant codes and standards (e.g. Eurocodes, BS standards, nuclear-specific standards where applicable).
• Experience assessing structural integrity, load paths, stability, and serviceability considerations.
• Experience identifying, recording, and managing technical risks, assumptions, and constraints.
• Experience supporting design reviews, independent checking, and technical assurance processes.
• Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams and interfacing with other disciplines (e.g. mechanical, EC&I, project management).
• Demonstrated commitment to nuclear safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Relevant structural engineering experience commensurate within a senior engineer role.
• Ability to meet role-specific security clearance and site access requirements.
• Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE, IStructE) or working towards and close Chartered (Eng) status.
