Join HEB Construction, a leading civil construction company in New Zealand, as a Project Engineer. You will play a key role in the Ōtaki to North Levin project, which aims to upgrade the transport link along State Highway 1. Your responsibilities will include providing engineering support on bridge construction projects, assisting with construction methodologies, supporting health and safety planning, managing quality assurance processes, and carrying out site set-out and verification. You should have a strong background in bridge and structural construction, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Missions
- Provide engineering support on bridge construction projects, including piling, substructures and superstructures.
- Assist with construction methodologies, temporary works coordination and sequencing.
- Manage quality assurance processes, inspections, testing and documentation.
Profil recherché
About You
You are a motivated Senior Site or Project Engineer with hands-on experience delivering bridge or major structural works. You enjoy working on site, are detail-focused and thrive in a team-based construction environment.
What you will bring:
- Engineering qualification or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working as a Senior Site Engineer on bridge and structural construction projects for at least 5 years
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site processes
- Ability to manage safety, quality, programme and cost elements on site
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Full Class 1 driver’s licence or ability to covert your international licence
