Provide accurate and timely financial information to help the business and monitor performance.\nKey Responsibilities - Assistant Finance Business Partner\nGeneral Accounting\nEnsure transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner and in accordance with group and accounting rules.\n\nReconcile balance sheet figures.\n\nMonitor and report off-balance sheet commitments.\n\nCommunicate to staff on deadlines, month-end close requirements.\n\nBalance sheet reconciliation preparation and check.\n\nPosting of accruals and prepayments journals\n\nPosting of salary and wages journals.\n\nFinancial Planning and Analysis\nRegular analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as project variances, recoveries and productive hours.\n\nSupport analysis and explanation of overhead spending.\n\nSupport FBP in ensuring monthly and quarterly reporting is completed in line with fast-close protocol and set timescales.\n\nSupport FBP in monthly and quarterly reporting.\n\nSupport the Finance Business Partner (FBP) with annual budget preparation.\n\nData mining and manipulation to support points above.\n\nCash Management\nSupport checking and approval of new supplier and customer setup.\n\nSupport checking and approval of payments and banking activities.\n\nProvide credit worthiness checks on new and existing customers or prospect customers.\n\nBuild, maintain, and monitor internal processes in line with Group internal control procedures.\n\nControl and Reporting\nAssist with the audit processes.\n\nSupport the FBP in preparing statutory year-end accounts by providing the necessary information.\n\nSupport the FBP in ensuring BU is compliant with Group’s Internal Control procedures, which includes leading the internal control reporting for the BU.\n\nAdministration and other\nAttend mandatory training courses. Examples of which include FBP development programmes, HR policies, Ethics compliance and Cyber Security.\n\nLive the values of the group\n\nAd hoc Admin duties as required\nKnowledge\nQualified accounting qualification, degree, or part qualified at CIMA/ACCA.\n\nExperienced with using a financial package and ERP system.\n\nAbility to translate, report, and communicate financial analysis into clear actions and objectives.\n\nStrong financial skills applied in a project-costing context.\n\nAbility to analyse and interpret variances.\n\nGood knowledge of basic accounting functions, such as accounts payables, accounts receivables, and timesheets.\n\nUnderstand importance of good cash management, including forecasting.\n\nPreferable\nKnowledge of SAP or similar systems\n\nHow to Apply\nIf you are seeking an opportunity to progress your career in finance and business partnering, and want to be part of an innovative and growing organisation, we would love to hear from you.
