Clear definition and implementation of environmental and sustainability strategies.\nEnvironmental requirements embedded within the engineering design, decision-making and delivery process\nRobust assessments, models, and inventories covering noise, air quality, watercourses, waste, emissions, and other relevant environmental impacts.\nEffective management of environmental risks and mitigation measures across programmes.\nProgressive validation of environmental data, impacts and commitments as the design matures.\nScope of Services\nThe service should provide specialist input to design, assessment, regulatory submissions, and programme delivery activities, operating closely with safety, engineering, and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).\nKey Service Requirements\nLead development and maintenance of the Environment Case.\nDefine and communicate environmental and sustainability strategy for plant design.\nIntegrate design for environment through BAT assessments, ENVID workshops, and environmental modelling.\nMaintain plant-wide waste and emissions inventories (radiological and non-radiological).\nAssess environmental risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues appropriately.\nAssess environmental risks, define mitigation strategies and support their implementation.\nResolve environmental interfaces and trade-offs across engineering disciplines and delivery teams.\nProvide training and capability development on environmental legislation and requirements.\nCapability Expectations\nThe service provider shall demonstrate extensive experience delivering environmental engineering activities within large, complex programmes.\nExpert knowledge of environmental legislation and standards.\nProven application of BAT and ENVID methodologies.\nThe capability to operate effectively within a multi-disciplinary, high-hazard engineering environment.\nExperience in emergent or first-of-a-kind design environments would be particularly valuable.\nEmployee Staff
