Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, the role will provide exposure to all aspects of cost management from tender through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and commercially controlled.\nResponsibilities & Duties\nIncluding but not limited to the following:\nAssist in the preparation and management of project budgets.\n\nSupport the measurement and valuation of works completed.\n\nHelp prepare subcontractor packages and contract documentation.\n\nMonitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.\n\nAssist with procurement activities and supplier evaluations.\n\nSupport the preparation of interim applications, valuations, and final accounts.\n\nMaintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.\n\nAttend project meetings and liaise with operational teams.\n\nAssist with contract administration and change management processes.\n\nDevelop an understanding of NEC and other construction contracts.\n\nKey interfaces\nRelationships with key stakeholders:\nQuantity Surveyors\n\nClient Representatives\n\nProject Managers\n\nExternal stakeholders, e.g. client, authorities\n\nPerson Specification\nStrong numerical and analytical skills\n\nExcellent attention to detail\n\nGood communication and interpersonal skills\n\nCommercial awareness\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines\n\nEagerness to learn and develop professionally\n\nWillingness to travel to project sites\n\nQualifications and experience\nA relevant degree in one of the below:\nQuantity Surveying\n\nCommercial Management\n\nConstruction Management\n\nConstruction Economics\n\nCivil Engineering (with commercial modules)\n\nDesirable:\nCost management principles\n\nConstruction contracts (NEC)\n\nEstimating and budgeting\n\nMicrosoft Excel and commercial software\n\nValues\nIn line with Omexom’s values, the jobholder must have the following qualities:\nTeam Spirit & Generosity -
