Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, the role provides coordination, reporting, governance, stakeholder engagement, and project control support throughout the project lifecycle.\nThe Assistant Project Manager acts as a key point of communication between project stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery teams, assisting with the management of schedules, risks, issues, actions, costs, and project documentation. The role supports effective decision-making and contributes to the successful delivery of projects in accordance with organisational standards and project management processes.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport the delivery of projects across all lifecycle phases, including definition, design, procurement, manufacture, construction, and commissioning.\nSupport mobilisation of project teams and coordination of project start-up activities.\nSupport the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.\nSupport procurement activities, including preparation of enquiry documentation and supplier engagement.\nProduce project reports, dashboards, and management information for internal and external stakeholders.\nSupport communication and collaboration between project teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.\nSupport the identification, assessment, and maintenance of project risks and opportunities.\nSupport the development of tender submissions, cost estimates, and project delivery plans.\nAssist with proposal preparation and bid activities.\nAssist the Project Manager in monitoring project performance against scope, schedule, cost, quality, and delivery objectives.\nCoordinate project activities to ensure delivery milestones and objectives are achieved.\nAssist in maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS), and organisational reporting structures.\nQualifications, experience and skills:\nQualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.\nWorking towards or holding a recognised project management qualification (e.g., APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent).\nDemonstrates professional standards of behaviour and compliance with legal, regulatory, and technical requirements.\nGood commercial awareness and understanding of project financial management principles.\nExperience within a project, engineering, construction, or programme delivery environment.\nDemonstrable experience supporting project delivery, project controls, planning, project engineering, or project coordination activities.\nGood organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.\nDeveloping problem-solving, planning, and risk management
