Prior clearance will not be transferrable.\nPrincipal Accountabilities:\nResponsible for the delivery of structural engineering outputs within their assigned scope of work. Able to lead CS&A delivery across multiple projects.\nThe CS&A Engineer applies sound structural engineering judgement to develop, check, and deliver safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose civil and structural engineering solutions.\nThe role operates with a high degree of autonomy within defined scope and is responsible for the technical authoring, checking and verification of structural engineering documents and drawings in accordance with applicable governance arrangements.\nKnowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:\nDemonstrable experience delivering structural engineering design within a regulated or complex engineering environment.\nExperience developing and checking structural engineering deliverables in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and technical specifications.\nExperience undertaking structural analysis, assessment, and verification of new and existing structures.\nExperience applying relevant codes and standards (e.g. Eurocodes, BS standards, nuclear-specific standards where applicable).\nExperience assessing structural integrity, load paths, stability, and serviceability considerations.\nExperience identifying, recording, and managing technical risks, assumptions, and constraints.\nExperience supporting design reviews, independent checking, and technical assurance processes.\nExperience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams and interfacing with other disciplines (e.g. mechanical, EC&I, project management).\nDemonstrated commitment to nuclear safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.\nRelevant structural engineering experience commensurate within a senior engineer role.\nAbility to meet role-specific security clearance and site access requirements.\nIncorporated Engineer (IEng) status with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE, IStructE) or working towards and close Chartered (Eng) status.\nEmployee Staff Benefits:\n8.5% Pension Contribution & Life Assurance\nPrivate Medical Scheme*\nEmployee Share Scheme\nSalary Sacrifice Schemes: Electrical Vehicles, Technology and Cycle to Work\n18 Weeks Full Maternity Pay* (+21w SMP)\n25 days holiday (increasing to 28 days after 5 years’ service, 31 days after 10 years’ service)\nOption to buy, sell and carry over up to 5 days annual leave per year\nIn partnership with trade unions\nPersonal Development & Further Education Support\nLong Service & Recognition Awards\nFree Employee Assistance Programme\n*After 1 year of service.\nNuvia -
