Prior clearance will not be transferrable.\nThe role provides practical support for the preparation, packing, handling, and movement of materials, equipment, and waste, alongside inventory capture, materials tracking, and storage management. It ensures that physical logistics activities are carried out safely and efficiently, with accurate recording and traceability maintained throughout the decommissioning lifecycle.\nPrincipal Accountabilities:\nSupport the preparation, packing, handling, and movement of materials, equipment, and waste.\nCarry out systematic inventory collection, ensuring items are accurately logged, labelled, and traceable.\nRecord all movements of items, equipment, and materials at the point of activity.\nSupport the setup, organisation, and maintenance of storage and laydown areas.\nMaintain accurate data within logistics systems and support improvements to data quality and system use.\nSupport inventory verification activities, including audits and checks to ensure alignment between physical items and system records.\nSupport asset management activities by maintaining accurate records of equipment and plant, including tracking status, location, and basic maintenance information where required.\nAssist with receiving, checking, storing, and tracking tools, equipment, and consumables.\nSupport logistics arrangements at new worksites and within operational areas undergoing phased decommissioning.\nAssist with site walkdowns by gathering general information on work areas, including layout, constraints, interfaces, and access considerations, and recording observations to support logistics planning.\nAssist in identifying handling requirements by gathering site-based information, including reviewing access routes, road widths, and constraints, and collecting supplier or equipment information to support logistics planning.\nEngage with Logistics Engineers, Worksite Managers, SMEs, Health Physics, and Waste teams to support coordinated logistics activities.\nIdentify and report hazards associated with logistics activities, storage areas, and items.\nSupport preparation of logistics documentation and reporting by contributing data, observations, visuals, and draft content for use in project reporting, gate reviews, and logistics documents.\nIdentify opportunities to improve logistics processes and provide general support to logistics and project teams as required.\nQualifications\nVocational qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience in logistics, engineering support, or a related discipline.\nBasic health and safety training (e.g. manual handling, IOSH Working Safely, or equivalent) desirable.\nCore Knowledge Areas\nLogistics operations, including materials handling, storage, and movement.\nInventory tracking, labelling, and data recording.\nStorage and laydown area management.\nBasic understanding of hazard identification and safe working practices.\nFamiliarity with logistics or asset management systems (e.g. Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).\nExperience\nExperience working in logistics, warehouse, construction, or operational environments.\nExperience handling, preparing, packing, or moving materials and equipment.\nExperience carrying out inventory activities, including labelling, data capture, and tracking.\nExperience using digital systems or handheld devices for recording or tracking information.\nExperience supporting site-based activities such as walkdowns, inspections, or data collection.\nExperience working within structured or regulated environments (e.g. industrial, engineering, or nuclear settings).\nSoft Skills\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to follow procedures and work safely in operational environments.\nProactive, reliable, and adaptable approach to work.\nAbility to gather and communicate practical observations clearly to support planning and decision-making.\nEmployee Staff Benefits:\n8.5% Pension Contribution & Life Assurance\nPrivate Medical Scheme*\nEmployee Share Scheme\nSalary Sacrifice Schemes: Electrical Vehicles, Technology and Cycle to Work\n18 Weeks Full Maternity Pay* (+21w SMP)\n25 days holiday (increasing to 28 days after 5 years’ service, 31 days after 10 years’ service)\nOption to buy, sell and carry over up to 5 days annual leave per year\nIn partnership with trade unions\nPersonal Development & Further Education Support\nLong Service & Recognition Awards\nFree Employee Assistance Programme\n*After 1 year of service.\nNuvia -
