Prior clearance will not be transferrable.\nThe Associate Director - NEC Project Manager is responsible for the contractual management of the Independent Assurance Framework and associated assurance service providers. The role acts as the Client’s NEC Project Manager, ensuring all assurance contracts are administered effectively, consistently and in accordance with contractual requirements, enabling assurance activities to be delivered without contractual impediment.\nThe role:\nAct as NEC Project Manager for assurance contracts across the CWP Independent Assurance Framework.\nAdminister contracts in accordance with NEC processes, ensuring all actions are issued within required timescales.\nManage compensation events, early warnings, programme submissions, contract changes and contractual correspondence to defined timelines.\nMaintain auditable contract records and ensure contractual compliance across all suppliers, likely via CEMAR.\nEnsure contractual obligations are consistently applied across multiple assurance providers and commissions.\nDevelop and implement proportionate contract management processes, procedures and guidance supporting Phase 2 assurance delivery.\nEstablish clear interfaces between the Independent Assurance Team, SZC Commercial Team and assurance suppliers.Define roles, responsibilities and governance arrangements required for effective contract administration.\nEnsure contractual processes align with the wider TOC governance, assurance and decision-making framework.\nDrive standardisation where appropriate whilst accommodating supplier-specific contractual arrangements.\nProvide contractual advice to the TOC Independent Assurance Lead.\nWorking closely with SZC Commercial teams, support commercial decision-making relating to assurance commissions, supplier performance and contractual risk.\nEnsure governance forums receive timely and accurate information relating to contractual matters.\nIdentify emerging contractual risks and ensure these are appropriately escalated and managed.\nDevelop effective working relationships with assurance suppliers and SZC Commercial representatives.\nPromote collaborative behaviours whilst maintaining contractual discipline and compliance.\nMonitor supplier performance and contractual commitments, supporting timely resolution of issues.\nEnsure contractual matters do not delay or adversely impact assurance activities or governance decision-making \nAccountabilities:\nEffective administration of assurance service contracts.\nCompliance with NEC contractual requirements and timescales.\nDevelopment and implementation of contract management processes supporting assurance delivery, reporting, KPIs, etc.\nIdentification and management of contractual risks and issues.\nMaintaining contractual readiness to support assurance activities across the TOC portfolio.\nThe role is not accountable for assurance findings, governance decisions or technical assurance outcomes.\nKnowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:\nMinimum 15 years’ experience delivering NEC suite of contracts on major infrastructure, construction or capital programmes.\nExtensive experience administering multi-million-pound NEC contracts on behalf of clients, including the use of CEMAR.\nNEC Accredited Project Manager (or equivalent NEC accreditation).\nDemonstrable experience operating within complex multi-supplier environments.\nStrong understanding of governance, commercial management and programme delivery controls.\nExperience developing and implementing contract management processes and procedures.\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.\nDesirables\nExperience within regulated infrastructure programmes such as Nuclear.\nExperience working within programme management, assurance or governance environments.\nEmployee Staff Benefits:\n8.5% Pension Contribution & Life Assurance\nPrivate Medical Scheme*\nEmployee Share Scheme\nSalary Sacrifice Schemes: Electrical Vehicles, Technology and Cycle to Work\n18 Weeks Full Maternity Pay* (+21w SMP)\n25 days holiday (increasing to 28 days after 5 years’ service, 31 days after 10 years’ service)\nOption to buy, sell and carry over up to 5 days annual leave per year\nIn partnership with trade unions\nPersonal Development & Further Education Support\nLong Service & Recognition Awards\nFree Employee Assistance Programme\n*After 1 year of service.\nNuvia -
